Chef Ana Coza from our restaurant La Botica has won the first prize in the I gastronomic competition "Chef de la Janda", held as well as the semi-finals in Cortijo de los Monteros in Medina Sidonia.
The jury decided to award this prize to the tapa Kabayaki jandeño , for the "delicate treatment applied to a product of great value, achieving a perfect harmony between the salty notes of the sea and the products of the vegetable garden, combining ancestral grilling techniques with innovative techniques and Japanese influences".
The second prize went to Isabel Márquez with her Redondela de rabo retinto, while the third prize went to Humberto Ortega with his tapa Ángeles y demonios.
The jury was made up of Pepi Relinque, Mercedes López, Francis Gallardo and Javier Muñoz while the prize was presented by María de los Santos Sevillano, president of the Mancomunidad de la Janda together with Antonio Orozco, creator of Chef Sierra.
