On Thursday 21st October, the semi-final of the first Chef de la Janda 2021 competition was held at the Cortijo de los Monteros, with 8 chefs representing their respective restaurants. In this edition, the municipalities of Conil, Barbate, Paterna de Rivera, Benalup, Alcalá de los Gazules, Medina Sidonia and San José del Valle took part. The main objective is to highlight the gastronomy of the region through an event that involves participants and followers.
The tapa "Duelo de Atunes", by our Chef Ana Coza, has made it through to the final which will be held next week at the same location.
She will be joined by Humberto Ortega and his "Caníbal el Santo" from La Fábrica de Medina Sidonia and Isabel Márquez and her "Sopa flamenca" from Territorio Flamenco de Alcalá de los Gazules.
The competition has a large number of sponsors, as well as the support of La Janda Turismo and the Diputación de Cádiz.
